Off the top of my head, there aren't too many 390s out there that aren't competitive...

R.J. Sledge's 390 Fairlane was a great car. Scott Cook's Mustang from MN is very fast. You have Bob Johnson's Mustang, the Hall family's Mustangs, Russell Johnson's Fairlane. Even Stuart Goertzen's Cougar which is racing this weekend in Topeka. I believe that all of those cars have won class at one point or another.
With effort (and $$$ of course), I think it's good enough combo to be competitive.
