Traction control isn't that big of an advantage. I know you are looking for reasons you didn't win but that isn't one. So easy to blame the other guy you fail to look in the mirror.

If a bike spins the rear tire it won't do it the same way every time. Traction control works by removing power *when* it senses tire spin. What if it doesn't spin?

Factory system as well as others work to control and out of control situation. They are not perfect because the track, the weather, and most importantly, the rider/driver are not always doing the same thing run after run. I would think the traction control would lead to more losses than wins.
