Mike Schwartz HIT the nail on the head. I had this idea years ago.
Have all Byes in the first round.
Get down to the perfect even field for the next rd (16, 32, or 64)
It's same philosophy that the NCAA uses in March Madness. (Have your play-in games first).
And guess what- Might help the AFHS system when people try and qualify for the first rd byes..... what a concept!
