The clarification didn't clarify much to me. I still have no idea if a normal race car set up consisting of 4 primary tubes with a 4 into 1 collector that has 2 tabs with 1/4" bolts like 90% of us have is eligible for an Advance Auto muffler clamp and hanger.
What I do know is that the Collector Tethers that I ordered came on time and fit perfectly. Fitting perfectly might not sound like much, but I had very specific dimensions with no real margin for error. Moreover, I took them on an airplane with me to Cali, so if they were wrong I was pretty much screwed.
I think this has been the most overblown deal I've ever seen. It's not like they're saying you have to buy new ones every 2 years, it's a one time deal. Mufflers were worth fighting about, this is not, IMO.
