Being at the race track since 1964, the reason I love class racing so much is back in the 60's & 70's watching everybody plus my parents working their butts off during the week at normal jobs then going to the tracks, even local events working hard to get that hundredth just to be the fast person of the week. At National events back then and remember for the longest time there was just a few, if you won class it was like winning the event. they only took the class winners into the eliminator. And while we was class racing you meet and stay friends with hundreds of people and remain friends to this day. After I quit racing in 1995 I went out on a limb and thanks to Capt Jack seeing what I was doing stats wise (and I was messing around doing for my own enjoyment) the stats gig has taken off. The most filling thing about this whole deal is dealing with class racers and their families. What a wonderful group of racers from coast to coast. I just want to thank every racer I've ever met for making me feel like I was a big part of class racing even after I quit racing. Happy Holidays everybody!
