We just had an issue about trunk floor and wheel tub replacement material as well as tire size and rear suspension. Are they that stringent on trunk floor and other metal replacement panels?I would think that more libral rules and if the car appears period correct that they would accept them and the car count would be greater. Are all cars running 9.50 and faster going to be classified A/FX?We seen different tracks allow many different combinations,is Tri-State going to be flexiable or hold to T on the rules? After all it's still mimics a bracket style race, weather it's to the tenth, hunderedth or dial with changes.???????

I will be looking closely at the rules for the two series whose rules we mimic, and see. As far as trunk, floor, tubs, tire size, etc, we never really worried much about that. We didn't have a lot of N/SS last year, our first year allowing N/SS. Four or less cars at each, some with only 1-2 cars, one with zero (none were 9 second cars, but we really don't classify cars as such (A/FX, A/NSS, B/NSS etc; anything that is a 1960's big block mid-to-full size muscle car (no 'pony cars'), period correct and stock appeaing. One thing we did allow was transbrakes and 2-steps if a racer wishes. The two series we use, as you said, have some conflicting rules. That is why I set our rules a little looser, saying 'If you can run either of those Series, you can run with us', so as not to exclude anyone And while I am not an expert on ALL the N/SS Series that race around the country, I am going to write a set of rules I think is most fair for all, so racers can still run our series, and with other groups as well. As you said, it's all just a basic dial-in race in the end for fun and good money to win. I will be working on that soon, as hell as hopefully starting stuff for our 2014 Season Schedule, as son as IHRA releases their Division 1 and 3 schedules.
Also, if you can do me a favor, e-mail me a list of where/when the bigger Nostalgia meets are, so I can try and avoid confliction with them as well. I know Beaver Springs has two a year or more, and the Chrysler Classic events always seem to draw a lot at Norwalk/Columbus. If you know where/when any of those bigger meets are, let me know.
