Re: passing of JIM PURSGLOVE
Such sad news to hear today! Dad called me around lunch time to tell me the news. Jim was always a great guy and always willing to lend a helping hand. I used to pal around with him and Wes when they ran Super Gas and Comp. Dad always tells me the story of when the car caught on fire at Suffolk and they didn't have any extinguisher fluid in the bottles and Jim had to watch the car burn to the ground, I also remember when he won the wally at Numidia in Comp. Jim always did what he could to be competitive in an always tough Comp field and held his own. He will always be remembered as a great guy and friendly to everyone. He worked on my Camaro back in the day at the shop to get it through emissions and dropped everything he could to make it work even though he had 4 other cars on the lift. Thanks for the great memories Jimmy and for playing Santa all those years at the Dutch! You will be missed by all!!!
