Hmmmmm!? Interesting. I have children. And, one thing I know is that I have a responsibility toward them and how they behave. If I am in a public place, I have the basic social skills to recognize that I am likely not the only one there and that the people around me shouldn't have to suffer from my child's (or children's) misbehavior. Especially, when we as a family go out to dinner.

Case in point: I was in a restaurant recently (a pretty nice restaurant) with my wife and children. The place was fairly full, and in walk this couple with their two 8-10 year old kids, who proceeded to watch videos on their phones at full volume, play video games and run around the table, when, of course, they weren't yelling or complaining about something. The parents didn't even seem phased that everyone around them was staring at them in disbelief, including the staff. There was a room full of people trying to enjoy a peaceful meal out on a Saturday night, only to have it ruined by parents who are at the very least inconsiderate and boorish.

I have seen this happen (or something similar) too many times to count, including crying babies that need to be taken elsewhere to calm down. It is inconsiderate and classless to afflict others with bad manners and carelessness.
