Installing new PAC 1409 beehive springs and my old Comp Cam valve spring height micrometer will not work easily with the new smaller beehive retainer.

Will Comp Cams #4930 work with the PAC beehive retainer? The Comp Cam micrometer is almost half the price of the PAC one.
