Somehow this all reminded me of an unrelated story. Bill Bader, Sr. has an extraordinary long term memory. He could've met you once in the '70s, and he'll remember your name, your wife's name, and your dog's name. Short term... not so much.
Back when I worked there, you'd often hear, "Tom, Mike, whatever your name is, get in here!" We had a discussion once involving Woodro Josey, and he couldn't remember that name for the life of him. It always came out "the Outlaw Josey Wales". LOL
