Is Charlie Allen still around? I think that is the best place to find first hand answers. If not, I would try to find someone who worked on the car and went to the races with him. - most people don't race by themselves - usually have a brother, friend , ect.. go with them to the races and work on the car.
I have always been suspicious of this car - why would someone change a 440 Dart to a 70 model for P/S? The 68 Hemi Darts that were changed to 70 models were sanctioned by Chrysler - mostly contract racers. Why would someone go through the trouble & expense of changing over this car - it would only be eligible for a year or so - doesn't make sense to me and I am not sure where that story came from.
