Re: Your Classmate
Been a long time since I attended a class reunion, and had a small graduation class of only a few over 100.
But I did go to my 20th (about 30 years ago...) and had that strange feeling as I got out of my car, and walked toward the banquet hall.
My wife of the decade had friends in my class although she had attended a different school, and I was doing pretty good in business, so we were looking forward to it.
But as we walked towards the building, I said, look at all of those "old people". Maybe we are in the wrong place?
We weren't. To parphrase Pogo, we have met the old people, and they is us.
Now 30 years later, I can't even imagine what they look like now.
Naturally, I haven't aged a bit over those years.
But those other folks......Oh my! They got old.
