Numidia, Pa – The Mid Atlantic Super Gas Association will invade Numidia Dragway for 2 races on June 30th & July 1st. This will be the 6th year that MASGA has visited the “Thrills in the Hills” in Numidia, Pa and once again track owner Bob Dimino is guaranteeing the payout of $1,000 to the winners on both days. If MASGA Can draw more then 30 cars the payout will be increased to $1,500.00 each day.
Going into this event 2011 MASGA Runner-Up Pete “Lucky” Luciano is looking to shed the role as “Bridesmaid” and claim his first MASGA Championship but 2011 Champion Tom Goldman may have other ideas in his 1958 “Bullets to Spare” Corvette. Rounding out the Top 5 is Lance Kreiger in 3rd, Jake Barbato, Derek Clark and Rich Price who are all tied for 4th place.
So far this season MASGA has not seen a repeat winner yet as Walter & Oscar Olt swept the 1st two event at Atco and then at Maple Grove Luciano & Hank Smith claimed victories. One real surprise so far this season has been the performance of past champions Earl Nichols Jr & Iggie Boicesco who are stuck back in 17th & 18th points position but, as we all know Iggie will be chomping at the bit to visit Numidia where he has claimed 5 victories there in the 8 races held at the Northeast Pa Facility.
