Default Re: Finally going to Vegas

Donna and I like "Jerry's Nugget" just north of the downtown area. The prime rib is to die for and reasonable. My best advise for someone going to Las Vegas for the first time is to: take in the strip.....walk through the casinos and pick out a show before you go. Then stick to your plan. The second bit of advise is to go downtown to Binions, and the rest of the downtown casinos....go downtown towards evening so when the sun goes down, you can see the "light show"..... while downtown, if you see a lucky slot or a lucky table....play it, but set a limit...........after doing these 2 things.... I recommend forgetting what everyone has told you to do and set out on your own. Go find that little casino that the locals go to with good food, cheap (free) drinks, and friendly games.....then, the next time someone wants advise for Las Vegas, you can give it...... Set out on your own and find your own thing......most everywhere in Vegas is safe around the casinos. What I have found out is that if "I was told to go here and told to go there", pretty soon, I am wasting a vacation doing what someone else told me to do....Have fun is the most important part (and set a gambling limit).....you can watch a lot of interesting people while sitting and playing $.05 slots.....
