Good Morning Racers!

First off I’d like to thank all the racers and sponsors who attended the 1st annual MASCA Banquet held on Saturday Night at the Simone Automotive Museum. We all had a great time and in the process honored the 2011 MASCA Champions. A Special Thanks has to go out to Pete “Lucky” Luciano who allowed us to piggy back with the MASGA Guys & Girls in their annual banquet.

As I’ve mentioned in previous e-mails we had some big news in the works regarding the 2012 season. Now that the banquet is in the books I can officially let the cat out of the bag. The first big announcement is the addition of Brodix Cylinder Heads to our list of sponsors. Brodix is going to offer up a gift certificate to the 2012 series champion for the purchase of any one (1) Brodix Block at a cost of $3,500.00. This will be good for a Small Block or Big Block (4.840 bore spacing, 9.800 – 10.200 deck). So considering that a New Brodix Block runs between $4,500 to $6,500 I think this is a pretty sweet deal that Jennifer and her Crew at Brodix are offering up.

We’ve also added K&N Filters onto the list of sponsors for 2012. K&N will be offering up product gift certificates to the winner & runner-up at each event as long as you have the K&N Sticker on the side of the car….so go replace those air filters, oil filters, etc with K&N over the winter and get something back for running K&N. Another addition for 2012 is Auto Meter Products that Marc Erickson and his crew will offer up product gift certificates to the winners of each MASCA Race. Last but, not least is the addition of Quick Fuel Technology who will be coming on board as a primary sponsor.

The biggest addition for the 2012 season is the formation of the “Be a member program”. Thanks to racer Warren Harrision and his company Aqua-Terra Environmental Service any racer who is a MASCA Member and wins or runner-up’s at a race in 2012 will pocket an additional $400.00 and the runner-up will pocket an additional $100.00 onto the pot for that day at EVERY RACE! Now you must be a member at the beginning of the day to be able to collect on this bonus. If you decide in the semi-final round to become a member you will not be eligible for the bonus. Now if 2 non-members go to the final that does not mean the money just goes to waste. The 2 next closest members that finished the day out with the highest placing will receive the money. So let’s just say we have 32 cars at Atco in April. The pot will be $1,000.00 to win and additional $400.00 from Warren so you’re payday for 1 DAY of Racing is $1,400.00 for a $70.00 MASCA entry fee and gate entry into the track.

I’ve already started the process of a new MASCA Facebook site since the other one was hacked into. We will also have a brand new MASCA Webpage set-up that should be ready to roll-out by mid to Late March so you can stop getting e-mails from me and all the new information will be placed onto the site. Also 2011 T-Shirts are available for sale at $15.00 and as everyone saw at the banquet this weekend is a pretty cool design with Joey & Jeff’s Cars on the back.
