Paul,

Man back in the mid to late 70's seamed like all of us poor Ford hot roders had a 390 powered something and other that running smooth and being reliable as a hammer, they were all butt slow. When I think about it though one of my buddies had a worn out '67 GTA Fairlane.

Messing with the 390 is what sold me on the 429/460. Seamed like you can just check the oil on these engines and they would make more power.
