In 1975, my father gave in and bought my mother a new
'luxury car' instead of a 'performance car',,,,,,a 1975 Chrysler Cordoba.

A maroon-colored, 'Crown Edition', with a maroon-colored padded Landau vinyl-roof.
Even maroon 'semi-crushed velvet interior'.
My father skipped on the 'fine Corinthian leather' interior package.

Looked like a 'semi pimp mobile'.

Equipped, with a 'semi-rare', 400/235 HP 4-barrel (option), with dual-exhaust and with a 3.23 Sure-Grip Posi rear.

Well, it was taken (without approval) to the drag strip,,,,,,

No class, just Bracket-racing in 1975.,,,,,
We hit 16.60's with it,,,,,,,a 'one-time event',,,,,,,,
If I remember right, that's a "Lean Burn" engine, it could use leaded gas at a time when everything else was switching over to unleaded. It had a computer attached to the air cleaner housing.
