Let me stipulate here that I am not a racer but I do sponsor two cars so I remain actively involved and I read Class Racer every day to see what is happening. I am a favorite of S-SS because that is what racing was when I was active in this sport. Do I like what has happened to our sport, no It could be better. But do I like what has happened to Nascar, no not really. Do I like what has happened to Pro Sports, no not really. But as I read this thread, I now know now part of the reason why NHRA officials cant make a good quality decision. Most, and I reaffirm most, on here cannot agree on any thing for your own classes well being either. And as I read this, you want less NHRA fees and more pay out and more recognition. Guess what, this sounds just like the UAW in contract negotiations and every worker in the US of A. We want more for less. Have you guys been serious on where this sport has gone when you walk thru the pits and look at some of todays rigs. No matter what fees NHRA access (even if admittance was free) or what they pay out, you cannot break even racing at that expense. You criticize tech at our sport. No one person can tech all the different combinations out there and cheating is so common place(yes it is and u know it) that no matter what they do, they cannot catch it all. Maybe some of us should volunteer to tech just to see what it is. Why should NHRA pay more for more help, better tech or otherwise, when no one will self monitor us and step forward to tell some one that this guy is cheating. You want NHRA to do it. If they were as large as we want NHRA to be , they would be like our Federal Government--large enough to give us what they want you to have and large enough to take it all back. This is a real world situation that is many times larger than NHRA. Sure they probably have greedy people running or involved with management of NHRA and hopefully that will get better as people like us try to alleviate that problem but believe me, anytime money is involved, there will be greedy people involved. Crap look at our corporate greed, especially around Wall Street. But fellows, I have never seen so much resentment and insensitivity as I see here on this forum. Yes I will continue to read and monitor our sport thru this forum but I surely dont understand the lack of working together to make it better
