Cool Paul Kirby

Got the sad news tonight that a real long time friend passed away while he was on vacation to Hawaii in early September.Paul Kirby was a local Jr.Stock racer with a F/S '61 Vette, 283 with either carbs or a fuelie unit. He quit racing in early '68,and was active in the So Cal area, racing at Lions, Irwindale, Pomona, Vegas, and was really one of the good guys. Tony Janes knew him,so did John Barkley, even Bob Lambeck helped him straighten out the F.I. on the Vette. This was a sudden thng , as I saw him the weekend after Labor Day, and he looked fine. He came to dinner on Tony Janes 70th birthday bash at North Woods Inn in Covina, and has been a real friend for a lot of years. He will be missed. Anybody have any shots of his cars??
