To do so would have been financially considerate of the Sportsman racers. All of you that are praising NHRA and the local track management may not be such suck a$$es if you had just towed 8 PLUS hours (one -way) and then got stuck with your hotel rooms for the week.
I am guessing that the field conditions could not be accurately a$$essed until Wed. Late afternoon (after the majority of Sportsman racers have already made the tow)?

I wonder what "enhancement" this latest abortion will now lead to?
Couldn't have said it any better! Cost me alot of time and money also.
They knew it wasn't happening and they dragged us down anyway. From Lex's mouth at that meeting (we were trying to be optimistic) How about be REALISTIC and use your heads. They could of said... try to wait to come down as long as possible and we will make a decision by wed afternoon.
I was sitting with people at lunch wed that received phone calls from a D1 worker saying this race was 90% cancelled! So we called the track after we got off the phone with a D1 employee and they said it's still on so come on down! That Fried me more than anything!
I WILL NOT go back!
I understand things happen. My anger comes from the lack of communication! With all the media outlets that are out there and the reality of what was going to happen, NHRA could have given alot of people more info and saved many racers Money and Time!
Also Thanks to Keith O and Chuck Veach for Giving Them an Earfull at the meeting!!!!!!
