Default Re: Almost "Live" from the NHRA Napierville National Open

Mother nature threw more showers and rain on Napierville Dragway this weekend than anyone should have to endure. One person was quoted as saying that they hadn't used up any tires or fuel, but their winch was toast after winching their race car in and out countless times. Saturday it would rain, almost dry and then rain again, that happened 4 or 5 times.

The track, D1, and the sponsors of this event really deserved better, but they hung in there and we had 2 time trials today(sunday) and then went right in eliminations. Track was good, there was a tail wind. With 8 cars left for the 2nd TT, it rained and soaked things good. an hour or so later they were back running.

I thought that the car count was good considering the weather. Border crossing was no problem. Do yourself a favor and get your passport, traveling north of the border is no big deal.

Thanks to the sponsors, and hosts for doing more with less this weekend

and a big congrats to Jacques Blais for a big win.
