Default Re: No Brutus at Mission

Jody, any borders are a pain to come through. Many years ago crossing into the U.S I had to remove my car from my trailer, let the dogs(drug dogs) go through the car, truck, trailer, after 2hrs I was aloud to put it all back together which took another 2hrs. When I returned to Canada, the same scenario happened, luckily before leaving for the U.S. I had made an inventory of everything I was bringing with me such as tools, parts, car, tires even our food we were bringing and it still took more than 2hrs to allows us back into the country. Thank my lucky star that I had my DMV registration of my car because they would have impounded my car until I could have proven all taxes were paid. Now for the HST tax in Canada(Harmonized tax)' we could call it Value added Tax as they have it in Great Britain and other parts of the world, British Columbia might be removing it at the next referendum during the next elections. Many Federal and State taxes are hidden in the price of the goods anyways. One thing is for sure, we are over charged with taxes just like everywhere else. Jody the great thing about Canada when you are visiting is that any Province you buy goods or services in, will refund you the tax paid. All information stop areas have the forms there or apply on line. Claude
