A while back there was a lot of heated debate on here about nhra's newest enhancement (they actually wrote the word).
That they would only be paying class winners at the 3 sportsnationals and Indy. They also announced they would be no more class singles, that the single cars would run each other for the class win. They also supposedly set up a "national class performer award" that was supposed to be worth more than $10,000 . They were only going to count the 8 races that didn't pay contingency money (best 3 out of 5). But they added the sportsnationals the same week as the first race.
Since then there hasn't been a word. Not a peep about the postings, Not a peep about the standing. Nothing.
I saw the contingency listing for class in stock eliminator, and thought maybe there was another change.
That is what this thread was about. But the little people could not resist a chance for some personal BS.
This is why stock and superstock are doomed. Not only do the racers that have nhra's ear want to change things to benefit them. they also want to see others hurt ("no more free rides" etc.).
I loudly voiced my opinion and was called a crybaby, and that I didn't deserve to win class because there was nobody in the other lane. And that I was taking up a spot that a "real" race car could occupy. And trust me I could run every race even if it was only the top 16 qualifiers
