The local track owner here in Tulsa booked in some funny cars, not the fast NHRA cars, to draw spectators. Ran them Sat evening. Did get spectators to come to watch them. Should have made him some more money. I certainly can't blame him for that. They ram after we were through Sat evening. Don't remember how many their were. More of an old time match race. Wasn't anything like 16 cars. Hardly anybody you ever heard of. Can't blame the track operators. Gotta pay the bills. They will take up some paved spaces.
Tulsa did open the gates early enough.
