The rumor mill says that SIR is purchasing a booked-in nitro show from Feld Entertainment so it's not "technically" an IHRA race.
I'm sure NHRA loves that. I'm guessing it'll just be a bracket race to go with it. I think they'd run into problems if they tried to have an IHRA TOC-Qualifying Sportsman event and try to say it's not an IHRA event. Didn't IHRA do a Thunder Jam or Night of Fire deal at Numidia Dragway (NHRA) a few years ago?
