George ,Rod ends have been legal in SS for a while. ....On your A body application, you can replace the outer tie rod assy with a threaded tube with rod ends on both ends, in place of both inner and outer tie rod ends.....Any chassis shop or even a Stock Car shop should be able to fab one up if you have the center to center diminsions. ..To use a bolt in the tapered hole on the center link and the steering knuckle ,there are tapered bushings available from several circle track vendors, such as Coleman and Lefthander. .......Then its just a matter of determining the correct spacer height . ........Tom
