Default Re: Pictures and Info From The Dutch Classic

The morning stock qualifing session was as about as good as it gets. I had -131ft with a cross tailwind, more cross than tail. I didn't get a qualifing sheet, sorry, but draw has them. Not sure how many cars, but has to be 120-130.

A few runs to note after 1 round of class, AA/SA Mustang 9.65 139, Dave Casey A/S 9.94 (record) Gene Monahan J/SA 11.31 (record) Scott Gove SS/AM 7.96, fastest SS pass ever, couldn't back it up, when SS had back up runs the track was getting cold and going away. Other cars in the barn, Brian Filbrick, Cecil Frazier, Clayton Wright, Wes Leopold Jr.and a few more they are going to do tomorrow. Nitro Joe has more on SS.

The Hemi Shootout cars had their share of problems getting down the track, both Warfish cars had to shut off, and many of the others had big time radial wobble. Most ran mid 8.40's - 8.60's.

Comp never saw the track, and TD and TS didn't finish their qualifing sessions either. It was a cold windy day with leaves blowing through the lights and the great air taking it's toll on the season old parts. I'm sure if they ran comp someone would have crashed, it was that iffy.

Weather for Saturday looks better with temps in mid 60's and less wind. The schedule is 1st rd of stock at 9 am followed by sst and thats about all they told us. Hopefully the track can handle the Hemi cars, it should be a great race.
