Re: Denver entries
of course part of the reason racers don't show up at the mile highs is the economy but here is some other reasons .(Vote in Nov or we will all lose )
Mike said" For this event, it might be a little bit of "not a family friendly track".
Fact: The sportsman don't get treated with respect.
Fact: The sportsman have to pit one mile away from the staging lanes in dirt or kind of gravel .
Fact: The sportsman have only one narrow road to get to the staging lanes that is shared by fans, support trucks for the circus stuff, support cars, golf carts, baby buggies' and racers on this only road and some day some one is going to get hurt..
Fact: I used to like that track but now will not race at a track that I have to pit my race car in dirt or dirty gravel ,one mile from the staging lanes, plus we are three quarters a mile to even see the race and three quarters a mile from a concession stand ,speakers are poor also
Opinion: In this day and age if a race track does not treat all of their customers with respect when times get tuff the track will not have those customers racing their just the facts here and of course the track will blame everyone but them selves . pave the pits , treat the racers right and make them want to come back ,not leave , very simple business practice to use for success .
Fact: ok There is 241 sportsman entries and only 72 pros (if all the pros show ) ..
Fact: Hmm????? why does the entry paying sportsman have to be pitted in the dirt while the few remaining pros are still being treated like kings , the pros will be dwindling very fast as indicated by the past while the sportsman will in most cases still support the race tracks who treats them right .
Fact: I know that the pros are who some fans come to see but the ratio of fair treatment is out of whack .
Confused on this? Why does a drag strip not try and improve there track ever year to try and get more racers ????
