I've been waiting for this thread. Ed, I had your number (1945) before you did. And for the same reason. This would have been about 1975, before they started using the geographic division number as the first digit in the competition #. Maybe we were separated at birth? Mom always said I was the good lookin' one. I also worked for a N.G. utility. And, like you, Soc.Sec. just doesn't quite cover the cost of racing. Thus, no comp # currently. Paradoxically, I'm so dad-gum wealthy, the CS decision makers at the VA denied my application.
