It's about time somebody did one of them! I've had one of those sitting on an engine stand for years. I don't think that it's a great combo but I think that it can be decent. Don't over cam it and don't over gear it. It doesn't make a lot of compression so keep the cam duration on the small side to start out. It also doesn't have a lot of carb to work with so your peak RPM will probably be in the range of 6200 to 6400 RPM. It probably is going to want a really small header too. Probably even as small as 1-3/8 primary and less than a 2-1/2" collector. Might even try a 8 into 1 header if there's room underneath. At least 2.75 low gear trans.
When you're working on really restricted engines just remember one thing. It can't make horsepower because you can't spin it so try to make torque. Whatever you think that you need, that is probably too big. Not like an average race car.
