Cool Re: Pictures from Pomona Winternationals 2010

The picture of the green 60 Chevy wagon is interesting to me.That is a clone if not the original of a service car used by Bill's Hub Service,a Flying A station, in west Arcadia,Calif. at the corner of Baldwin and Duarte Rd.I used to live in west Arcadia about three blocks from there, and my mother got a brand new 60 Impala two door hardtop, robin's egg blue with a white top. We always noticed 60 Chevys after that, and since she shopped in the shopping center around that location,we used to see that car often.I was about six or seven then. In 1977,! got married and we lived a block west of that intersection for a year and a half,I drove my 62 409 Chevy to and from work, and our other car was a 65 Impala SS red convertible. I bought gas at the Mobil station that was there, and was a regular customer there. While seeing that car at a car show a few years ago, the station owner's kid,(now about 40) remembered me and that 409,since it was the only one he ever saw. What a small world we live in despite millions of people!!
