Default Re: acid porting a bbc 781 head

I agree last set of heads I did full port to took 40+hrs a week for over 3 weeks. And Im pretty good....albeit slow, but man did they flow, they were on the chev 302 I was spinning at 10k...

Great heads, but they werent cheap, as in the trip to the doctor for the metal dust that had embedded in my lenses , superfine and in my hair, then into my eyes, the actual pain was from the metal slicing the insides of my eyelids, Now wear a hat when porting But I kinda like the fact you CANT in stock elim, its something I dont have to do.........Its REALLY hard to sit still when the doc comes at your eye with a magnetic needles and says "Hold Real Still" before explaining what he was going to do......he was in a hurry had a "hot lunch date" hey at least he was honest.....

That's why good head's are so expensive . If you are from Division 1 talk to John Armstrong or Tom Boucher or sombody like that they will steer you in the right direction .
