I asked this Question over on the bracket race forum and didn't get a lot of response. so i thought i would fire it to the T/D crowd.
After an absence of more than a few years, I'm looking to get back into doing some local bracket racing. I have a question about bracket racing a dragster(I ran door cars and an altered before). In the 8.30-8.90 et and 145-165 mph 550 HP range, is there any advantage or disadvantage to running a long 240"-260" either hardtail or suspended car? I am aware of the advantages to running a suspended car and other than the obvious trailer size and a longer car being a bit of a pain. I'm also aware of the longer car being more stable at the type of speed a T/D runs. So i guess the question is.Can a relatively low HP (small block or big block) car be run consistently with a longer wheelbase car? with all racing at northeast Div 1 type tracks
All opinions and comments are welcome
wow i must be doing something wrong you go 8.30- 8.90 with 550hp i have 1050hp in a 2700 pound door car and well only goes 8.56 at sea level
