Clones are needed for this market. As long as the owner/seller is
forthright before the auction, not during the bidding. Hard to imagine someone with a 64' Plymouth 383, and them having a max-wedge engine and ram-air hood that they picked up at a swap meet event.
Much easier to sell a Max-wedge clone, than a #'s matching 383.
But "Tribute" cars. No way. Does the world need another 'Dukes of
Hazard' "General Lee"
