If I understood it correctly, Sportsman have all morning and well into the afternoon to take care of their qualifying and eliminations as needed each day. No "interruptions" from the Pro cars. Then the Pro cars have the late afternoon and evening for their show while the sportsman call it a day.
No Pro oildowns to worry about, no late runs, out relatively early to eat, to the motel or home. It sounds like a good deal!
442OLDS - This quote is part of a news release from IHRA:
"The final half of the schedule will remain similar to 2009 with U.S. 131 Motorsports Park in Martin, Mich., Maryland International Raceway in Budds Creek, Md. and New England Dragway in Epping, N.H. holding down summer dates. Maryland International Raceway will host its event August 28-29 and New England Dragway will hold down a date the weekend of September 11-12."

Travis - I'm not sure, but it's possible.....weather has often been a problem at the World Finals. Perhaps that may have been a part of the reason for moving it to Virginia. Despite it not being that much further away and being further north, hopefully it will make a difference.
