That figures Myron, but at least I can lay claim to having a pair of the last "American Made Con's" , that were in the colors of Denver, Co's "South Senior High School"...purple & white!!! Moreover, I bought them back in January of '87, and they're in mint condition (and I store them in their original box), because I've only worn them 5X's, and I made certain it was only to special casual affairs (starting with my 10yr reunion)!
I digress that I tried some of those "Chinese" made Converse's, and I would've been lucky to get 6 months worth of life out of them, where the "American" versions lasted twice as long (if not longer)!!!
Thus, if there are some Converse shoes that are "All American" like they all should be, I'll pay whatever reasonable price they come with...otherwise I'm heading off to the "New Balance" shoe line...how about you Myron? BTW, what shoe stores carry the American Converse's, because I don't frequent stores much?
