SAL BIONDO DOMINATES COMPETITION ELIMINATOR IN JOLIET, IL.
ANAHEIM, CA –Sal Biondo is no stranger to the Winner’s Circle, and his legacy continued after being one win light shy of the famous “Jegs Double-Up Bonus” in Joliet, IL after a win in the regularly scheduled Route 66 NHRA Nationals in Competition Eliminator and a runner up finish in the 25th running of the Jegs All Stars Race. The final round finish also put him one round short of a “three-pete” victory after winning the last two runnings of the All Stars Race.

Biondo brought home his 12th National Event Wally in his 23rd final round appearance. Biondo did not have the fast car in the class on race day, but his experience and skill aided him in cutting down the field from his No. 12 qualifying position. His car led him through a few of the tough rounds, but in the end it was a couple of much needed hole-shot victories that carried him the rest of the way to the Winner’s Circle.
