No offense to your "sources", but talk about living under a rock. I've been aware of the track since they broke ground, and I live in NC. That inner-nit thing is wonderful. Big gamble? So which is it... will there be noone there, or will traffic be a problem? Sheesh...

Take a look at the track: http://www.ihra.com/article/4301.html If we didn't have a Pro-Am & Sportsman National at Richmond the same weekend (about 1,000 miles closer), I'd consider the long hike myself.

And for anyone with concerns about a "green" racetrack, perhaps a refresher course is in order: A little known fact (evidently), IHRA's Jim Weinert oversaw the revamping of the track surface at Route 66 several years ago. The IHRA trucks were rolling out the gate nearly at the same time as the NHRA trucks were rolling in to set up for the national event... where virtually every Pro record was re-set.
