Bill,
We're fine, the tornado was within 1/2 mile or so of my house, we saw it, but we got no damage. I don't think any of the racers here got any real damage.

It is really bad here though, we have 100 houses or more destroyed, and 150 or more with heavy damage. We also had a young mother and her new baby die when they were caught outside, and some 50 people injured.

We just had a tornado two weeks ago tonight, and I'd guess we'll have more before spring is over. We always do. It got my roof last year. We have tornadoes here like California has earthquakes.

We've had friends from all over calling and emailing, we want to thank them all for their concern.

We may be able to get out today and see if we can help some of those who were not so lucky as we were. A bad one is something we go through around here every 5-6 years, and when possible, a few of us get out and help people recover belongings and secure them, as well as bringing drinking water and such.

I should also mention that local businesses are stepping up here, Lowes and Home Depot are staying open 24 hours. Storage companies are offering a month of free storage to all victims. Stores are feeding emergency workers, giving them coffee, water, snacks, and fountain drinks, and giving away drinking water to the victims as well. Roofing companies are running crews day and night just helping people tarp their roofs and things like that. Makes me proud to live here in America, or as my friend Charlie Daniels says, "Ain't it good to be alive and be in Tennessee".
