NHRA Division 2 Hall Of Fame member, James "Cotton" Perry, was the guest speaker at Brainerd Optimist Drag Strip's annual driver's meeting last night. Cotton related racing esperiences and praised his team, especially his late Uncle and engine builder, Jim Headrick for his success. Later in the evening, Cotton accepted a "Hall Of Fame" plaque from our local track for his team mate, Jim Headrick. I played the video of his winning modified class at the 1978 Sports Nationals.
