Re: Sunday Schedule
The day was scrubbed at 5:30 PM after yet another light shower put a stop to the first round of Pro Stock. That was a good thing because it appeared that someone was going to get hurt before the management got the message. At least no one hit the wall (as far as I know). Sportsman racers were "on hold" all day long before the day was cancelled and tomorrow's plans were announced.
Tomorrow morning, cars can be fired at 10 AM and the second round of Stock is scheduled for 10:30. Stock will be followed by the second round of T/F. The day will continue from that point on until the event is completed. Of course, the weather forecast for tomorrow has been fairly consistent in its call for more rain. This one will probably end up being completed by running in between raindrops over Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Who knows? It's already destined to go into the books as the Winternationals from Hell.
Incidentally, it was announced that the first round of Super Stock will be conducted on a random pairing basis. Since Stock had already run a round of eliminations, the ladder in that category will be played out as printed. I know that some out-of-town racers in both categories have already pulled out for home. I don't have anything like a complete list so I won't mention anyone.
It's been a long weekend and I can't think of anything appropriately witty to say. Sorry.
