Default Re: runner volumes??

Junior

The current S/Stk runner volumes basically ARE the old Stock numbers. For years the NHRA runner volumes were listed as "Cylinder Head Volumes" and were used for both Stock and Super Stock. Several years ago NHRA quit ccing Stock heads and the new title for the same runner volume list was (and still is) titled "Super Stock Cylinder Head Volumes". NHRA's tech dept.reasoning for no longer ccing stocker heads, at that time, was your not allowed to modify them so why should we have to check them? And we all know what has happened since.

I don't believe that there are that many Stocker heads in use that are larger than the S/Stock volumes. We have been (and still are) doing alot of good running Stocker heads that will pass the cc rules. HP and Torque come from air flow and air speed not big holes.
