Live National Trails Raceway
 

I have traveled to the IHRA Event at National Trails Raceway at Columbus. The Facility is awesome and looks to have significant improvements. There will be a Supper provided both Thursday and Friday Nights. Credentials and tech went smooth and you get 2 free crew with an entered car. I would think there is 30 to 40 cars here so far.

I made it out here too! 9 hours from my NC home and I?m really enjoying it! Just finished qualifying for the day, currently repairing a blown header tube because of course I am. Drinking the beer whose carcass will be used to create a temporary fix. Got a firm handshake and a bag of ice when I rolled in the gate which was pretty cool.

Life is good.

I am very impressed. This is a really professional deal. As stated everything went smooth from credentials to tech. I had to remember how to fill out an actual tech card. They also legit teched some stuff.

Noticed that IHRA is using the older (3 tenths slower) indexes, so plenty of cars, about 2/3rd of the field, are at least a full second under. Wondering if IHRA has any version of the AHFS system, or if they did before they dropped class racing. Also noticed that other than a single "crate motor" car, all are regular NHRA classes. Having some real competition for NHRA certainly should be a good thing.
