Front tires Pros and Cons
Ds2 vs Drag specials vs Sportsman fronts vs Goodyear front runner any thoughts?

Re: Front tires Pros and Cons
Maybe I am just unlucky, but on my cars, I have found that the M/T "ET Drag" , Hoosiers, and Goodyear front tires are bad for not holding air all that well, a buddy uses the M/T Sportsman fronts, they hold air very well, but are quite a bit heavier. I have found that the Moroso old style "Drag Specials" hold air very well, and also seem to virtually never wear out the treads, unlike my MT E/T Drags, Hoosiers, and Goodyear "Frontrunners". I have also had good luck with the M&H front tires, but have never used the Moroso DS2 models. Out of all the brands of front tires that I have used over many years, my favorite is the Moroso Drag Specials, but they are only available in 3 diameters, which may not make them ideal for many racers.

I also have had very good luck with the Moroso Drag Specials, replaced them only because of age. The "middle size" was perfect for me.
A very long time ago I used Firestone front tires that held air fine but wore out quickly. |
Re: Front tires Pros and Cons
When I sold my bracket Nova in 2019 it had Moroso's on the front that were 12 years old and still looked brand new and never lost air. However I did purchase a new pair and they went with car.

I too have the Moroso Drag Specials. Never lose air and look new on the tread and sidewall. But they are older than I like so am putting on the Hoosier 18107's which are exactly the same diameter as the 7.10x15" Moroso's.
