MA Stock / SS Kickoff at Cecil - May 17-18th, 2025
 

We know Ma Nature has been a real PITA to kick off the 2025 season, here's hoping she gets it all out of her system the next few weekends and we can go play in the upcoming weeks!

The MA Stock / SS Series kicks off its 2025 season on May 17 & 18th for Race 1& 2 at Cecil County Dragway! Those of you heading to Maple Grove the following weekend for the Lucas Oil Race this is the perfect opportunity to get some racing in!

Here?s all you need to know:

Thanks to POR15, Pete's Cycle Co., Oakes Landscaping and Herbie Null at 32 cars the winner is taking home $2,500 to win / $1,000 RUP, More Cars is more $$$

Entry: $50 at gate plus crew and $100 to series
Points Series: $70 counting best 4 out of 6 races

Friday, May 16th, 2025

GATES OPEN AT 5PM AND NO SOONER - you have to remember there is minimal stacking at Cecil, and you CANNOT PARK ON THE ROAD, so please, please, please find an alternative place to park till 4:30 unless we advise you otherwise! This is a MUST not a PLEASE, I know a lot of us are retired but, please take some extra time at the rest stops on the highway, go to the Flying J, Walmart because I don't want to get a call from the track telling me there is a line at the gate at 2pm.

Track operated T&T from 6-10pm for $30
Gates close at 10pm!

Saturday, May 17th, 2025
Gates open at 8am
TT 1 starts at 9am with Juniors (rotation to be released shortly)

FREE BBQ following event completion (Meatballs and Sausage), sides and desserts are always welcomed, Practice Tree Race to follow ($10, Top, Bottom and Pro Tree).

Sunday, May 18th, 2025
FREE Racers Breakfast at 7:30am till 8:15
RFC Service: TBA
Gates open at 8am
Time runs starting at 9am followed by eliminations (1 TT and go).
Classes that weekend:

1/8 mile classes

Juniors (3 age groups, go down to one at 8 cars or less, Winners of each age group (winner forfeits) gets cash and medal.

Top Sportsman: 3.70 to 5.45 et break - 32 car field

Top Dragster: 3.65 to 5.09 et break - 32 car field

Gamblers Race: Separate tech card, run by Cecil County Dragway (see flyer below)

1/4 mile classes

Super Street: 10.90 index heads up, .500 Pro Tree

Super Gas: 9.90 index heads up, .400 Pro Tree

Super Comp: 8.90 index heads up, .400 pro tree

Stock / SS Combo: Must be legit NHRA Stock or Super Stock cars

Good Morning,

The Weather is looking better and better for this weekend for 2 action packed days of action and the kick-off of the MA Stock / SS Series at Cecil County, this will be a great warm up for those who need to get some test time in before Maple Grove or are just looking for some racing!

Remember at 32 cars:

More Cars the better the payout, so lets fill those lanes!!

Gates OPEN AT 5PM, please keep an eye on the Cecil County Website, Facebook or if you are signed up to Whatsapp for any delays due to weather that could be passing through the area in Mid-Morning! We will try to keep you updated and hopefully have the gates open for a few hours to help with congestion but fingers crossed all systems are a go for tonight....Gates will close at 10pm!

The area did take on a good amount of rain this past week, so be mindful when pulling into your Pit Spot, put boards under your tires or park on Asphalt...yes you don;t have to slum it in the grass and can have a nice paved area, just be mindful of your neighbors!
