Jim Johnston.
Long time division 6 driver, crew chief, story teller, my father, has passed. His favorite place was at the track talking with all of you.. |

Re: Jim Johnston
Ken, so sorry to hear about your Dads passing. I always enjoyed talking with Jim at the races, and at our weekly Saturday lunches in Langley, when he would attend. For those that didn`t know Jim or his son Ken, they raced a 55 Chevy Super Stocker, that Jim had owned since the mid 60s, and Jim and his Brother Rick Johnson (RJ), (RIP) raced in Modified in the late 60s -early 70s. Jim and Ken won Super Stock Eliminator at the Seattle national event , probably 20 years ago, with Ken driving. Jim was a great guy, and always seemed to have a good time at the drags. RIP Jim.

Re: Jim Johnston
Ken and family, this hits pretty hard.
Your father was a dyed in the wool superstock racer. He will be missed dearly. Praying for you and your family. Deepest sympathy Rod & Kim Stults |
Re: Jim Johnston
Oh Ken, I am saddened to read this. Your Dad was a very special person. I truly looked forward to yakking with him and RJ. Honestly, the Johnston clan forgot more about racing than many know. Look after yourself Ken, and Godspeed Jim. You?ll be missed.

Re: Jim Johnston
Ken… That is very sad news and so sorry for your loss. We have lost another Good Man. I always enjoyed talking with your Dad about trucking, racing and over the last few years comparing Health stories. Enjoyed spending long days selling at the Swap Meet. When he would join us for lunch he always became the Guest Speaker. His laughter and smile proceeded him.
May He Rest in Peace now… Sadly Maurice Blendheim. |
Re: Jim Johnston
Godspeed Jim!
My prayers to the Johnston family during this time of grief! :( |
