GM 307 200/165 change to 307 200/260 1971 Nova Stock
95hp?? In one hit? Who did that or is it a mistake? Thinking maybe 165hp to 160hp? |
Re: Latest NHRA Engine HP and Engine Parts updates
On the 376/ 385 Direct Injection engine the dome was changed from .045” high with a volume of 4.0 cc to a .060” dome height with a volume of 4.1 cc.
I wonder how many times they had to pour to arrive at the .015” taller dome only displacing .1cc more volume. Maybe NHRA has a portable climate controlled room maintaining a standard temperature. |

Just looking but the 2010 428 Ford piston has w/notches but no cc volume.
I would be surprised if that was not on the tech list of things to do! |

The head is as-cast too. |
Re: Latest NHRA Engine HP and Engine Parts updates
If the dome is shorter than specified and smaller volume it should pass tech.
If they say it must be this tall or displace this many cc that could be a problem. |
