National Records Poll
Anyone who passes full teardown at Indy, or anywhere, should be awarded the record if they've broken the sitting record. Agree or Disagree?
Addition: This is assuming the 1% backup run requirement was satisfied as well as fuel and weight checked on said runs. |

I agree with that.

Re: National Records Poll
Good Poll Bobby. All we're talking about is bringing things up to date. We weren't allowed to set records at National Events in the past because the tech people were busy with teardowns from qualifying, then winners and runner-ups, pumping Comp cars and others, and teardowns from protests.
hence, we were regulated to the points meets and National Opens where the tech group would have time to accommodate the record setters. Fast forward to todays reality, where there are little to no teardowns, and it makes perfect sense that if your motor is coming down and you've exceeded the existing record, it is only 2 minutes of paperwork for NHRA to establish the runs as a new National Record. No need for NHRA to have any lengthy meetings, no weighing of pros and cons, there are no cons, JUST DO IT!! J.R. |

Nice! I agree.

Re: National Records Poll
The only problem I see is that they don't always check fuel or weight after every run. Unlike when you claim you are trying a record run.

Re: National Records Poll
Here is an idea, anybody that runs faster then the current national record gets torn down and if passed gets the record. This would put the fear back into passing a teardown and curb the cheating. If the record was at a minimum people would be scared and change to a class that does have a actual record which would make more heads up runs and get combos in line
