My grand daughter and her husband are at Fort Eisenhower near Augusta, Ga. They are on the edge of the projected path. Top of my prayer list right now, along with all the people in the path of this terrible storm. Please Dear God keep them all safe.

We in Charleston SC are 250 miles due east of the storm's center and let me tell you my yard is like a debris field. The wind gusts last night were very, very strong, it rained cats and dogs. We also had four tornado warnings through out the night.
Helene is no joke.

I live in the Tampa Bay area. We skated by with no damage. We are without power though. My sister was not so lucky. She lives on one of the barrier islands and chose not to evacuate. They have a two story condo and the garage area flooded and wrecked their cars. My brother in law has a pristine 2008 Shelby GT500 with under 10K miles. it was flooded. My wife's uncle lives in St Petersburg and his condo was flooded with 8 inches of water. unfortunately he was not insured for his contents. We also own property in Blue Ridge Ga. looks like we have no damage there as well. I have a webcam there and everything looks to be perfect.

I just talked to my daughter and my granddaughter and her husband are A O.K. but without power. Since he is a medic in the Army, we are sure he will be called upon to go and help where needed.

Since they are o.k. I can breathe a little easier, but my heart goes out to ALL the people in the path of destruction and Pray that losses are minimal and lives that are lost are very few.

Glad that you have heard from your family and they are o.k. That helps you breathe just a little bit better.

I am sure that many will not be so fortunate. Prayers continuing for everyone that was in the path of this horrible storm.

I live in Lake City Florida right at the intersection of I-10 and I-75. The wind was the worst. There are a lot of trees down on power lines. Have been on the generator for 60 hours now. Our entire county (Columbia) was with out power at one point. The crews are doing a phenominal job getting power back. Unfortunately a substation got wiped out so my area may be without power for the forseeable future. I have a lot of tree trash but nothing major to clean up thankfully. Prayers to everyone.
