Stocker rocker arm style

Hi all,

Starting to piece together my motor. It?s a 1970 300hp 4V 351c. Looking at the rule book I know it says must retain stock style rocker arms (ie. pedestal remains pedestal) but it also says machining is allowed to allow for larger stud diameter. Question here is could I run the stud mount and be good? Builder says he?s seen plenty of stocker guys doing it but to do some searching around and ask. Just seems like a grey area and I don?t want to play a game of F around and find out with these heads lol.

Get a practice head to try different techniques and parts on. Kieth Kraft would be a good source In Arkansas.

Contact Pat Cvengros at NHRA and get approval for what you want to run in writing.Take a look at Yella Terra, we got some of their stuff approved, it's not just nice, but it's affordable.
